Quality Manager

About the role

The Quality Manager will report directly to senior management and take ownership of the quality management system at our client’s manufacturing site in Bremerhaven. You will be responsible for ensuring that quality processes are applied consistently, leading a small team of quality professionals and acting as the main liaison for internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and oversee the quality management system in line with industry standards.
• Maintain and continuously improve the quality manual and related documentation.
• Prepare for, conduct and support internal and external audits.
• Investigate root causes of non‑conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Lead and develop a small team of quality specialists.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects and quality improvement circles.
• Report annually on the effectiveness and compliance of the QMS to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of quality experience in electrical, aerospace, aviation, automotive or mechanical engineering environments.
• Several years of hands‑on leadership in a regulated manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of QM systems, methods and technical documentation.
• Fluent German and good English communication skills.

Required skills

• Certified Quality Management Representative or equivalent.
• Internal/External Auditor certification.
• Familiarity with standards such as IATF 16949, EN 9100, ISO 9001, IRIS/ISO 22163.
