Recreation Assistant (NF-02)

About the role

The Recreation Assistant (NF-02) supports patrons in a recreational facility, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. You will interact directly with visitors, provide guidance on equipment use, and help organise special events.

Key responsibilities

• Circulate among patrons to verify service quality and address complaints.
• Provide information, safety instructions, and demonstrations for equipment, facilities, and machinery.
• Assist patrons with equipment checkout, teach classes, and demonstrate new equipment.
• Plan, publicise, and support special events, social activities, tournaments, and related functions.
• May offer guidance and supervision to other staff members.

Required profile

• Previous work experience dealing with the general public.
• Ability to meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements.
• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
• One‑year probationary period may be required.
• Resume limited to two pages, clearly showing relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Required skills

• Woodworking (highly preferred).
