Registered Nurse – Obstetrics (PRN)

About the role

The Registered Nurse will join the Obstetrics department at Baptist Health on a PRN (as‑needed) basis, working 12‑hour day or night shifts. The RN is responsible for delivering safe, therapeutic, and compassionate care while applying the nursing process and Baptist Health’s training standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the obstetrics unit, following established protocols.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Maintain clinical competence and critical‑thinking skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Float within the obstetrics specialty or to other campuses within a 30‑mile radius as needed.
• Participate in specialized education provided by the unit.

Required profile

• Active Registered Nurse license in good standing in Arkansas.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum 18 months of RN experience, including at least 1 year in the obstetrics specialty.
• Current Healthcare CPR certification; ACLS, PALS, and/or NALS may be required (training provided).
• Willingness to work PRN shifts on a 12‑hour schedule.
