Repair Technician

About the role

The Repair Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and refurbishing robotic lawn mowers and related products returned to the repair centre. The role ensures that repaired units meet quality and safety standards before they are shipped back to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections, functional checks, and fault diagnosis using company‑provided diagnostic software and testing tools.
• Disassemble products, replace faulty components (motors, sensors, PCBs, wiring harnesses, wheel assemblies, cutting discs, batteries, etc.), and reassemble according to SOPs.
• Conduct post‑repair functional testing and quality verification to confirm compliance with delivery standards.
• Inspect, grade, clean, and refurbish returned products, then package them for shipment.
• Accurately record diagnostic results, fault causes, repair actions, and spare parts usage in the repair system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation, following ESD and safety procedures.
• Support engineers in testing new products, developing repair solutions, and reporting recurring quality issues.

Required profile

• Technical background in electronics, electrical engineering, mechanics, mechatronics, automotive repair, or a related field.
• Basic mechanical disassembly, inspection, and repair skills.

Required skills

• Use of diagnostic software and testing tools.
• Repair equipment handling.
• Knowledge of motors, sensors, PCBs, wiring harnesses, wheel assemblies, cutting discs, and batteries.
• Understanding of ESD safety procedures.
