Robotics Software Engineer – End‑to‑End Systems

About the role

Amazon Robotics is looking for a software engineer who will help design, build, and launch end‑to‑end robotic applications used in fulfillment centers worldwide. You will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment alongside applied scientists, hardware engineers, and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prototype, integrate, test, and launch robotic software solutions.
• Partner with applied scientists, project managers, and global engineering teams.
• Participate in all development phases: concept, design, architecture, prototyping, production.
• Implement, optimise performance, and maintain production code.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and operations customers to ensure system reliability.
• Contribute to software design reviews and promote team best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Professional experience programming in at least one modern language (Java, C++, C#).
• Strong knowledge of full software development life‑cycle practices (coding standards, code reviews, source control, CI/CD, testing, operational excellence).
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Perl.
• Understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, parallel computing, and multithreading in a Linux environment.
• Preferred: Master’s degree, background in computer vision, machine learning or robotics, and experience with ROS or similar robotics frameworks.
