Robotics Software Engineer – R&D

About the role

Amazon Robotics is looking for a passionate software engineer to design, prototype, integrate, test and launch robotic applications that power millions of customer orders. You will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment that feels like a start‑up while delivering enterprise‑scale solutions across Amazon fulfillment centers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and launch end‑to‑end robotic software systems.
• Participate in all phases of development from concept and architecture to production implementation.
• Collaborate with applied scientists, project managers and global engineering teams.
• Optimize performance, maintain code quality and ensure operational excellence.
• Contribute to software design reviews, best‑practice guidelines and tooling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience programming in at least one modern language such as Java, C++ or C#.
• Strong knowledge of professional software‑engineering practices and the full software development life‑cycle.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux development, multithreading and concurrency.
• Background in computer vision, machine learning or robotics.
