Sales Engineer – Data Center Solutions (Germany)

About the role

The Sales Engineer supports the sales team with technical expertise, translating customer requirements into robust data centre solutions and ensuring long‑term supportability throughout the contract lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and validate customer requirements, design high‑density power and liquid‑cooling solutions for AI/HPC workloads, and develop cost models.
• Prepare technical responses to RFIs/RFPs, structure proposals, and negotiate technical clauses and SLAs with sales and legal teams.
• Lead presales activities, conduct site tours, workshops, and technical deep‑dives with customers, and provide post‑sales technical support.
• Collaborate with design, fit‑out and internal teams to ensure solutions are standardized, deployable and aligned with corporate design principles.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• 3–5+ years of pre‑sales, sales engineering or solution design experience in data centre, colocation, telecom or critical infrastructure environments.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of data centre power and cooling systems, including liquid‑cooling technologies.
• Understanding of AI compute requirements, GPU clusters and high‑performance networking.
• Ability to build cost models and assess technical/commercial risk.
• Experience responding to RFIs/RFPs and creating technical proposals.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Visio.
