Security Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Security Analyst to join our partner’s cybersecurity team in Germany. The role bridges security researchers and client security teams, ensuring vulnerability reports are accurate, actionable, and properly prioritized. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, handling high‑volume vulnerability assessments while mentoring junior analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Review, validate, and assess incoming vulnerability reports for uniqueness and relevance.
• Perform technical analysis, proof‑of‑concept validation, and severity assessment, including CVSS scoring.
• Act as the primary point of contact for escalation handling, incident triage, and researcher mediation.
• Provide remediation guidance and clear technical feedback to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct security testing across web, mobile, system, and network environments.
• Stay current with emerging threats, malware trends, and attack techniques.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
• Collaborate with customer success teams to maximize the value of security findings.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in penetration testing, security testing, or vulnerability assessment.
• Strong understanding of ethical hacking principles and bug bounty ecosystems.
• Solid knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 and common web application vulnerabilities.
• Hands‑on experience with macOS, Windows, and Linux environments.
• Ability to research, troubleshoot, and solve complex technical problems independently.
• Experience in high‑pressure, incident‑driven environments with strong prioritization skills.
• Fluent English; additional Dutch language skills are a plus.
