Security Specialist (Counter Unmanned Systems)

About the role

The Security Specialist will focus on Counter Unmanned Systems (C‑UXS) to protect against emerging drone threats. You will serve as the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and coordinate risk‑management activities across multiple defense working groups.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of C‑UXS capabilities, trends, and emerging threats.
• Manage all aspects of C‑UXS contract support under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) as a COR.
• Lead risk identification, prioritization, assessment, and mitigation within the C‑UXS Working Group and Integrated Air Missile Defense Working Group.
• Develop processes for integrating standard and non‑standard training equipment in line with Department of War and Joint Staff policies.
• Review policy, prioritize resources, and plan training integration in an international working environment.
• Provide COCOM‑level coordination and oversight for theater C‑UXS programs, including planning, training, exercises, and program monitoring.
• Synchronize C‑UXS risk management across missions, policies, plans, and programs to mitigate operational risk.
• Identify strategic risks affecting operational plans, contingency plans, and joint mission essential tasks.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance (Tier 5) and eligibility for SCI.
• Eligibility to serve as a Contracting Officer’s Representative under FAR.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain Country/Theater Clearance and comply with drug‑screening requirements.
• Ability to meet the Exceptional Family Member Program and other DoD personnel regulations.
