Senior Account Manager – Sustainability

About the role

Join Root Global as a Senior Account Manager focused on sustainability, working on‑site in Berlin. You will help enterprise customers across the food system achieve Net Zero by guiding them through our software platform and climate‑performance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Drive customer success as a trusted advisor and manage enterprise accounts end‑to‑end, from onboarding to retention and ARR growth.
• Lead renewal negotiations, upsell opportunities and expand reach within global enterprises across new regions and decision‑makers.
• Support customers on their climate journey, act as a single point of contact and coordinate internal expertise to deliver actionable sustainability guidance.
• Onboard sustainability managers, farm technicians and farmers to the RootOS platform, ensure high data integrity and meet data coverage targets.
• Collect and prioritize product feedback to inform development.

Required profile

• 3+ years in customer‑facing roles (B2B SaaS, consulting or startup/scale‑up) with a track record of building strong client relationships.
• Hands‑on, reliable and detail‑oriented, thriving in fast‑changing early‑stage environments.
• People‑centric, proactive and empathetic communicator who aligns customer outcomes with business priorities.
• Fluent German (C2) and English (C1+).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Hubspot, Gong, Claude, Slack, Google Workspace and Notion.
• Strong ability to translate sustainability impact into tangible business value.
