Senior Administrator (German Speaker)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Administrator with native‑level German to manage and optimise a distributed storage infrastructure supporting a critical enterprise application. The position runs from July to December 2026 and is fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and optimise Ceph clusters and associated virtualised infrastructure.
• Design, implement and maintain automation solutions using Ansible.
• Deploy and manage comprehensive monitoring stacks (CheckMK, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Ensure security compliance, encryption, and strict access control.
• Support over 40 virtualised servers, handling 6‑8 TB of databases and serving 1,700+ users.

Required profile

• Several years of hands‑on experience administering Ceph clusters.
• Proven expertise with Ansible, CheckMK, Prometheus, Grafana, CephFS, RBD, RGW, and Proxmox.
• Native‑level German (C2) or equivalent certification.
• Current employment with a recognised IT service company (freelancers not accepted).
• Ability to obtain high‑level security clearance.
