Senior AI Backend Engineer (LLMs & AI Agents)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior AI Backend Engineer to design and deliver backend services that power AI‑native applications built on large language models. You will join a fast‑moving startup in Munich, working on agent workflows, retrieval‑augmented generation pipelines and production‑grade AI features.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend systems that integrate LLMs and AI APIs.
• Develop multi‑step AI agent workflows and tool integrations.
• Build and maintain RAG pipelines using vector search technologies.
• Handle prompt orchestration, context management and performance optimisation.
• Deploy AI features to production, ensuring low latency and cost efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong backend engineering experience with Node.js, Typescript and Python.
• Hands‑on experience building applications on Google Cloud Platform.
• Deep familiarity with large language models and AI APIs.
• Experience creating AI agents or multi‑step workflows.
• Proven ability to ship production‑ready code.
