Senior AI Product Manager

About the role

As a Senior AI Product Manager at Plancraft you will drive the evolution of our platform from a workflow tool into an AI‑first autopilot for tradespeople. You will own an emerging problem space, work closely with field users, and turn real‑world challenges into trustworthy AI‑driven products that improve profit margins, quote acceptance and capacity utilisation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the product strategy, roadmap and delivery for customer‑facing AI agents and workflows.
• Identify high‑potential problems beyond the current platform and translate messy trades workflows into focused AI product opportunities.
• Partner with Engineering and UX in a Product Trio to validate problems, set evaluation criteria and ship production‑grade releases.
• Establish a repeatable AI product operating loop covering discovery, evaluation, release gates, monitoring and iteration.
• Define quality standards, release criteria and monitoring metrics such as accuracy, latency and safe rollback conditions.
• Collaborate with RevOps, Sales and Customer Success to gather adoption signals and shape AI pricing experiments.

Required profile

• 7+ years of product management experience, including at least 2 years delivering AI products end‑to‑end.
• Strong applied GenAI literacy across LLMs, agents, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation and evaluation frameworks.
• Proven ability to build 0‑to‑1 AI products from discovery through launch and iteration.
• Fluent English (C1) and German (C2); willing to spend regular time in Hamburg field work.
• Experience in fast‑moving startup or scale‑up environments with a track record of creating structure and delivering despite ambiguity.

Required skills

• LLMs, agents and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts.
• AI product evaluation frameworks and quality metrics.
• Product and research tools: PostHog, Sentry, Dovetail, ProductFruits.
• Voice, mobile and document AI experience (nice‑to‑have).
