Senior Android Engineer

About the role

This role is a fully remote senior position based in Germany, focused on building advanced Android SDKs and mobile applications for device intelligence, fraud detection and mobile security. You will work in a globally distributed team, collaborating with backend engineers, product managers, analysts and security researchers to deliver high‑impact security solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development, maintenance and optimisation of Android SDKs and mobile apps targeting device intelligence and fraud detection.
• Design and implement advanced detection signals while improving performance, stability and scalability.
• Build and enhance mobile applications and developer tools using modern Android technologies such as Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions and improve fraud prevention capabilities.
• Research, prototype and evaluate new methodologies to strengthen mobile intelligence and detection systems.
• Analyse post‑deployment data to continuously improve server‑side logic, detection accuracy and product effectiveness.
• Maintain open‑source Android projects and demo applications, enhancing developer experience.
• Translate UI designs into high‑quality mobile interfaces following Android best practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in native Android development at a senior level.
• Strong background in information security, mobile security or fraud prevention technologies.
• Proven track record of building Android applications and SDKs from scratch with full ownership of the development lifecycle.
• Deep understanding of Android internals and mobile system behaviour.
