Senior Art Director

About the role

Iris Germany seeks a Senior Art Director who blends strong conceptual thinking with hands‑on execution. You will shape visual worlds, develop integrated campaigns, and guide projects from brief to final delivery for global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strategically grounded ideas across brand, digital, social, film, retail and content.
• Create mood boards, treatments, storyboards, layouts, key visuals and presentations.
• Present and defend creative work confidently in English and German.
• Lead photography and live‑action productions from pre‑production through post‑production.
• Maintain high visual craft standards, brand consistency and accuracy.
• Explore AI tools for visualisation, storyboarding and hybrid production where appropriate.
• Mentor junior creatives and contribute positively to the wider team.

Required profile

• 5+ years of art‑direction experience with a strong portfolio for global clients.
• Proven experience leading photography and live‑action shoots.
• Excellent understanding of photography, composition, lighting, typography and visual storytelling.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and translate client feedback into clear creative action.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Experience with After Effects, Premiere Pro and Figma.
• Familiarity with 3D or generative AI tools is a plus.
