Senior Backend Developer – Security Solutions

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join a fast‑moving team that builds security‑focused software solutions. Based in Germany, you will design, implement and scale backend services that power next‑generation development tools, using modern practices and AI‑enhanced workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable, reliable backend services supporting critical platform functionality.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, improving system scalability, performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product owners and technical teams to translate complex requirements into robust solutions.
• Build and optimise data‑processing pipelines ensuring high availability and operational excellence.
• Own the full software development lifecycle from design through deployment and monitoring.
• Promote engineering best practices through automation, testing and code‑quality initiatives.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional backend engineering experience in a product‑focused environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work independently within a distributed international team.
• Experience in cybersecurity, SaaS or cloud‑security domains is a plus.

Required skills

• Python, including its ecosystem, frameworks and asynchronous programming.
• Proficiency with AI‑powered development tools.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, data structures, distributed systems and microservices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
