Senior Connectivity Design Engineer – Manching

About the role

Join the founding team of a new Connectivity Design Hub in Manching and shape the "Manching Footprint" for connectivity and communications across air‑power programmes. As a senior engineer you will lead the end‑to‑end development of tactical data‑links, communications managers, IFDL/IVDL and C2 links for fighters, FCAS, A400M and related systems.

Key responsibilities

• Define and design the overall connectivity architecture for new programmes.
• Lead concept development, integration, qualification and delivery of connectivity systems.
• Support German‑focused customer meetings and generate top‑level requirements.
• Align designs with the domain connectivity strategy and national programme specifications.
• Drive innovation and R&T activities while ensuring robust system engineering practices.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in systems engineering, connectivity or communications architecture.
• Deep knowledge of tactical data‑links (e.g., L‑16), satellite communications and C2 link concepts.
• Ability to take full ownership of integration and design activities.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on future‑oriented innovation.
