Senior Construction Manager – Hydrogen Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead the delivery of major hydrogen, ammonia and energy‑transition projects across Germany. The role is offered on a freelance, long‑term basis and will involve overseeing site construction, coordinating contractors and ensuring HSE, quality and schedule performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all on‑site construction activities for hydrogen and related energy projects.
• Lead and coordinate contractors and subcontractors to meet project milestones.
• Drive health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards, quality assurance and schedule performance.
• Coordinate construction activities through commissioning and start‑up phases.
• Resolve site execution challenges and interface issues with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of construction management experience.
• Background in hydrogen, LNG, gas, chemicals or energy projects.
• Strong contractor and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience with brownfield sites and commissioning preferred.
• Fluent English; German language skills are an advantage.
