Senior Consultant – Space Industry

About the role

As a Senior Consultant you will join Porsche Consulting’s space practice, helping clients across the satellite and launcher value chain to design, optimise and grow their businesses. You will work on strategic projects that span manufacturing, testing, mission operations and supporting functions such as supply‑chain and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead consulting engagements covering satellite, launcher manufacturing and ground/service operators.
• Design and optimise operational workflows in production, testing, mission operations and related support processes.
• Develop market‑entry strategies, M&A road‑maps and new business models such as satellite‑as‑a‑service or space‑data monetisation.
• Drive knowledge development for internal and external audiences to keep the practice at the cutting edge.
• Own sub‑projects, present results to the Management Board and contribute innovative ideas.

Required profile

• Above‑average Master’s degree, preferably complemented by an MBA or PhD.
• Several years of experience in strategy consulting or the international space industry.
• Broad understanding of core space domains – earth observation, satellite communications, navigation and space transportation.
• General knowledge of space hardware design, assembly, integration and testing requirements.
• Hands‑on experience in functional areas such as production, quality, supply‑chain or industrial engineering, or in mission management.
• Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
