Senior Cyber Security Consultant - Technical Project Lead

About the role

GMV is expanding its cybersecurity business in the German market and seeks a Senior Cyber Security Consultant who will also act as Technical Project Lead. You will bridge German customers with GMV’s delivery teams in Spain, ensuring high‑quality project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or co‑lead cybersecurity consulting projects from a technical and delivery perspective.
• Serve as the technical interface between German customers and GMV’s cybersecurity teams in Spain.
• Translate customer requirements, risk assessments, and compliance needs into clear technical specifications and delivery priorities.
• Support tenders, proposals, pre‑sales activities, and technical offer preparation.
• Contribute to the design and improvement of security solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on‑premises environments.
• Provide technical expertise in security architecture, vulnerability management, incident response, security monitoring, cloud security, identity security, infrastructure security, and compliance.
• Ensure clear communication, stakeholder alignment, and successful project outcomes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or information security.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity consulting or customer‑facing technical roles.
• Demonstrated ability to lead or co‑lead technical projects.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, standards, architectures, and best practices.
• Experience with ISO 27001 and BSI IT‑Grundschutz.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in German and English.
• Analytical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to prioritize risks effectively.
• Collaborative mindset with experience working in international or distributed teams.
