Senior Cybersecurity Incident Responder

About the role

Join Siemens CERT as a Senior Cybersecurity Incident Responder and help protect a global infrastructure of industrial and enterprise services. You will work with a dedicated team of security engineers to investigate, contain, and remediate cyber incidents across a distributed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and follow through on IT security incidents, coordinating with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Analyze incident reports, collect log data, generate detailed findings and maintain progress on incident tickets.
• Serve as the central point of contact for incident communication in Germany, liaising with internal teams, regulators, authorities and law enforcement.
• Coordinate response activities with local business units while aligning with global CERT processes.
• Contribute to the evolution of CERT’s internal toolset by proposing new functionalities.
• Report to management and advise on improvements to Siemens’ overall cybersecurity posture.

Required profile

• University degree (MA) in Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• Clean track record and willingness to obtain a security clearance if required.
• More than 7 years of experience in Incident Response, including complex incidents in enterprise and cloud environments.
• Experience in IT Forensics or Vulnerability Management is highly valued.
