Senior Data Scientist - Rankings & Recommendations

About the role

Join Holidu's Search Intelligence team to own and evolve the ranking and recommendation systems that guide millions of users to their perfect holiday home. You will work with a massive, rich dataset and enjoy a fast path from concept to production in an AI‑first environment. The role is based in Munich with a hybrid schedule (two office days per week).

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy high‑impact models for ranking, recommendation and personalization.
• Take models from research to production, monitor performance and iterate.
• Balance user relevance, conversion probability and business value within a single ranking pipeline.
• Handle cold‑start scenarios for new properties and personalize for largely anonymous visitors.
• Adapt ranking algorithms to evolving partner and marketplace models.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience building large‑scale machine‑learning systems.
• Proven track record with ranking, recommendation or search‑related ML problems.
• Comfort with end‑to‑end production pipelines and model monitoring.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive innovative solutions.
