Senior DevOps & Backend Engineer (Security Focus)

About the role

We are building a fast‑moving product engineering team that embeds security into every layer of the stack. As a Senior DevOps & Backend Engineer you will own the design and scaling of security across our cloud‑based systems, infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement secure backend and cloud architecture on AWS.
• Strengthen IAM, authentication, authorization and access‑control mechanisms.
• Build and improve CI/CD security and deployment safety.
• Lead threat modelling and secure design reviews for new features.
• Embed security into the SDLC and integrate it with containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Implement secrets management, encryption strategies and reduce vulnerabilities through proactive engineering.
• Support rapid, secure product shipping at scale.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure or security‑focused roles.
• Deep experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Strong understanding of IAM, network security and access‑control systems.
• Hands‑on experience with secure backend/API design and threat modelling.
• Mindset of ownership, autonomy and end‑to‑end initiative delivery.
