Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

This senior-level position is based in Germany and focuses on transforming CI/CD and automation practices across a technology‑driven organization. You will work closely with engineers and stakeholders to define best practices, implement automation standards, and improve software delivery efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and standardise CI/CD pipelines to boost delivery speed, reliability and scalability.
• Establish development workflows, branching strategies, quality gates and release‑management standards.
• Drive continuous integration and deployment initiatives, enhancing build validation, release automation and early defect detection.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) to create repeatable, consistent environments.
• Promote containerisation and modern deployment practices for improved portability and operational efficiency.
• Assess current DevOps maturity and lead initiatives to increase automation adoption.
• Integrate code‑quality, testing and validation tools into development workflows.
• Provide technical leadership, influencing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 6+ years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, SRE or related infrastructure roles.
• Proven track record leading CI/CD transformation and scaling automation across engineering teams.
• Experience working in low‑maturity DevOps environments and driving standardisation.
• Strong understanding of Git workflows, branching strategies and merge governance.
