Senior Director, Business Development – Europe

About the role

Allucent is seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to lead growth across Europe. You will own the full development lifecycle, from early clinical pharmacology and regulatory consulting through all phases of clinical trial operations, guiding small‑ to mid‑size biopharma clients toward successful trial execution.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and exceed annual sales targets by building and managing a robust pipeline of opportunities.
• Sell Allucent’s complete portfolio of development solutions, covering Phase I‑III clinical pharmacology, regulatory strategy, biostatistics, project management, monitoring, data management and related services.
• Drive business opportunities through the entire sales cycle: lead generation, CDA, RFI/RFP, bid defense, award, and contract execution.
• Lead client meetings and bid pursuits, providing strategic insights to internal teams to craft winning proposals.
• Develop trusted relationships with senior decision‑makers and influencers at biotech and pharma companies.
• Represent Allucent at industry events, conferences and client meetings to expand market presence.

Required profile

• 7+ years of proven business development success in a clinical trial environment, preferably selling end‑to‑end trial operations.
• Strong network of contacts within biotech and pharma across Europe.
• Consistent record of surpassing sales goals and securing long‑term client partnerships.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently (30‑60%).

Required skills

• Deep understanding of clinical trial lifecycle and CRO services.
• Experience with regulatory strategy, biostatistics, project management, monitoring and data management.
