Senior Electrical Engineer – Robotics

About the role

RobCo is building autonomous industrial robots and needs a senior electrical engineer to own the electrical hardware from prototype to series production. You will bridge fast‑paced robotic development with robust engineering processes, ensuring quality, safety and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Design schematics, multi‑layer PCB layouts, cable harnesses and select connectors and parts.
• Drive end‑to‑end prototyping and series production, building PCBs, circuits and wiring systems.
• Establish QA frameworks, engineering gates and operational systems for rapid execution.
• Act as gatekeeper for electrical quality, compliance and safety standards.
• Develop 24 V/48 V power distribution, motor/servo drive integration and sensor interfaces.
• Collaborate with firmware/software teams on board bring‑up and system debugging.
• Manage DFM/DFT, supplier relationships and BOM cost control.

Required profile

• Vocational training or degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics or similar.
• Several years of full‑cycle electrical design experience, from concept to market.
• Strong knowledge of Altium, multi‑layer PCB layout and microcontrollers (ARM Cortex, STM32).
• Expertise in motion‑system design, EMC/thermal strategies and DFM/DFT principles.
• Proactive ownership mindset and ability to build scalable processes in a high‑growth environment.
• Very good English (German is a plus).
