Senior Full Stack Engineer – Payments & Billing Platform

About the role

We are looking for a senior full‑stack engineer to design and build a greenfield payments and billing platform for a fast‑growing European ClimateTech and IoT company. The solution will become the core engine that processes millions of transactions as the business expands internationally over the next decade.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement a scalable, event‑driven backend using modern TypeScript and Node.js frameworks.
• Develop responsive front‑end components with React to support internal tooling and partner integrations.
• Design and maintain a robust PostgreSQL data model for transaction, billing and ledger data.
• Collaborate with product, security and operations teams to ensure compliance with payment regulations.
• Drive continuous integration, deployment and monitoring in cloud environments.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, primarily in backend‑leaning full‑stack roles.
• Proven track record building payments, billing or subscription platforms at scale.
• Strong understanding of financial workflows, complex integrations and fintech best practices.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting and take ownership of critical components.
