Senior Manager / Associate Director – Global Manufacturing Science & Technology

About the role

We are a leading, innovation‑driven biopharmaceutical organization seeking a Senior Manager / Associate Director to join our Global Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) function. You will act as a global subject‑matter expert in upstream and/or downstream processing, supporting the delivery of complex biologics across an international manufacturing network.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and strategic oversight for upstream and/or downstream manufacturing processes across a global network.
• Serve as the primary interface with external manufacturing partners (e.g., CDMOs) to align technical standards and performance expectations.
• Lead process harmonisation and standardisation initiatives across multiple sites.
• Analyse manufacturing performance data, identify trends and drive continuous‑improvement projects.
• Own technical lifecycle management from late‑stage development through commercial manufacturing and post‑approval changes.
• Support technology transfer, process validation and troubleshooting activities.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant industry experience in biologics manufacturing with strong exposure to upstream and/or downstream processing.
• Proven experience working with external manufacturing partners/CDMOs in a global environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and influence stakeholders.
• Strong data‑analysis and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
