Senior Manager - Technical Program Management

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager – Technical Program Management to lead and scale the TPM function for a fast‑growing, globally distributed software organization based in Germany. In this high‑impact leadership position you will design the operating model, standards and execution framework that enable engineering, product and design teams to deliver complex, cross‑functional programs reliably at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Build and scale the Technical Program Management function, defining operating model, standards, engagement patterns and long‑term structure.
• Recruit, mentor and manage a team of senior TPMs, ensuring high execution quality and preventing drift into administrative tasks.
• Design and own the cross‑functional execution framework across Engineering, Product, Design, Customer Success, Support, GTM and PMM.
• Define company‑wide project execution standards in tools such as Linear, including tagging, milestones and visibility.
• Lead dependency mapping and launch readiness for large‑scale, multi‑team initiatives.
• Establish program‑level visibility systems for leadership without adding operational overhead.
• Partner with Engineering Managers and functional leaders to reinforce accountability and enable delivery.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in Technical Program Management or equivalent delivery leadership in high‑growth, distributed software organizations.
• Proven track record of building, scaling or transforming a TPM function and managing senior TPMs.
• Strong technical fluency with the ability to understand architecture and evaluate engineering trade‑offs.
• Demonstrated success designing cross‑functional execution systems between engineering and go‑to‑market or customer‑facing teams.
