Senior Mobile Engineer (Flutter + Native)

About the role

Doodle is looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer with deep expertise in Flutter and strong proficiency in native Android and iOS development. You will help scale our mobile platform by delivering high‑quality, performant cross‑platform features while bridging gaps with native code where needed.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cross‑platform features using Flutter and Dart.
• Write native modules, custom plugins, or performance‑critical code in Android (Kotlin/Java) and optionally iOS (Swift/Objective‑C).
• Implement efficient data communication with backend services via GraphQL and REST, ensuring robust error handling.
• Maintain code quality through clean, well‑tested code, code reviews, and best‑practice enforcement.
• Collaborate with backend, product, and design teams to define feasible solutions and optimal user experiences.
• Mentor junior engineers on Flutter architecture, native integration, and testing strategies.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on mobile development.
• Proven track record of launching and maintaining production mobile applications.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.

Required skills

• Flutter and Dart (expert level).
• Android development with Kotlin or Java.
• iOS development with Swift or Objective‑C (optional).
• GraphQL integration (e.g., Apollo, graphql‑flutter) and REST APIs.
• Modern Flutter state‑management patterns (Provider, Bloc/Cubit, Riverpod, MVVM, Redux).
• Dependency injection, performance profiling, unit and widget testing.
