Senior Ocean Freight Specialist (m/f/d)

About the role

Sea World Logistic GmbH is seeking an experienced Senior Ocean Freight Specialist to join its Düsseldorf office. You will be responsible for managing end‑to‑end ocean freight operations, supporting both import and export shipments for global customers.

Key responsibilities

• Operational management of full‑container‑load (FCL) and less‑than‑container‑load (LCL) shipments from quotation to delivery.
• Coordinate import and export shipments, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
• Communicate with shipping lines, overseas agents, customers and suppliers.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents such as bills of lading (B/L), invoices and transport paperwork.
• Organise pre‑carriage and on‑carriage transport activities.
• Monitor shipments, resolve operational issues quickly and proactively.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the ocean freight team.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in ocean freight operations, preferably with FCL/LCL handling.
• Strong knowledge of international import and export procedures.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Independent, responsible work style with a focus on problem‑solving.
• Fluent in Turkish and English; German is a plus.
