Senior Project Manager – Pharmaceutical Development

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with a strong scientific background in chemistry, pharmaceutical development or analytical science. You will lead complex, cross‑functional projects within our clinical programme, ensuring timely delivery, risk mitigation and high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex projects across pharmaceutical development, analytical testing and process scale‑up, providing hands‑on support when needed.
• Develop, track and maintain detailed project plans, guaranteeing CMC analytical and non‑clinical milestones are met on time and within budget.
• Facilitate communication between scientific teams, regulatory affairs and external partners, translating technical discussions into actionable plans.
• Identify technical, regulatory, operational and logistical risks early, define mitigation strategies and escalate critical issues.
• Support the Head of Program Management in building a robust project‑management culture.

Required profile

• Academic degree (MSc or PhD) in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, analytical chemistry or a related discipline.
• More than 3 years experience in pharmaceutical product development, process development or analytical services within an international, cross‑functional environment.
• Solid understanding of regulated, safety‑critical settings (e.g., GMP).
• At least 2 years of project‑management experience, handling internal and external stakeholders, multiple priorities and risk escalation.
• Comfortable with various project‑management methodologies (waterfall, agile, etc.).
• Proactive, highly structured and well‑organized with strong analytical and quantitative problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent English; German language skills are a plus.
