Senior Project Manager – Supply Chain Consulting

About the role

As a Project Managing Consultant at BASF, you will lead high‑impact supply‑chain consulting engagements, delivering innovative and data‑driven solutions across the company’s value chain.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end supply‑chain projects from problem definition through solution design and implementation planning.
• Drive transformations in large‑scale, cost‑critical chemical and consumer‑care value chains, focusing on planning, S&OP, logistics, inventory and network optimisation.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and project sponsors, communicating clear, fact‑based recommendations.
• Utilise advanced analytics and AI‑enabled tools such as scenario modelling, planning analytics, process mining and decision‑support solutions to accelerate insights.
• Coach and develop junior consultants in modern consulting methods, digital and AI capabilities.
• Monitor external trends and internal priorities to create new methodologies and scalable solutions for future supply‑chain challenges.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in supply‑chain consulting or transformation roles, preferably in core chemical, consumer‑care or asset‑intensive industries.
• Proven expertise in supply‑chain strategy, planning, S&OP, cost optimisation, inventory management or logistics.
• Strong strategic thinker with a hands‑on, data‑driven mindset and experience leading teams and complex stakeholder environments.
• Exposure to advanced analytics, AI‑supported planning or digital supply‑chain solutions is a strong plus.
