Senior Public Relations & Communications Manager

About the role

The Senior Public Relations & Communications Manager will design and execute MOONBASE’s PR strategy across key European markets and later the United States, building brand awareness and positioning the company as an industry leader.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a PR strategy to raise MOONBASE’s profile in Europe and the US.
• Create thought‑leadership content such as op‑eds, surveys and communication campaigns.
• Lead media relations to secure regular placements in relevant outlets and manage inbound media requests.
• Elevate the visibility of founders and leadership through bylines, award submissions, conferences and speaking engagements.
• Prepare and coach leaders and subject‑matter experts for press interviews and public speaking.
• Collaborate with content marketing and social media teams to amplify PR initiatives.
• Manage external agency relationships and oversee the production of media kits and press materials.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional PR experience, preferably in a B2B environment or publishing.
• Proven ability to lead a team and manage agency partners.
• Fluent written and spoken German and English with strong copy‑editing skills.
• Excellent storytelling, presentation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Willingness to learn new domains and collaborate closely with founders on marketing topics.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PR distribution tools and media monitoring technologies.
• Experience using collaboration platforms such as Slack, Notion, Google Workspace, ClickUp and Calendly.
