Senior SEO & GEO Specialist

About the role

Pflegia is looking for a Senior SEO & GEO Specialist to own the organic growth of its innovative nursing job platform. In this hands‑on, strategic individual‑contributor role you will define measurable success criteria, shape the technical SEO roadmap, and ensure the platform is discovered by both traditional search engines and emerging AI retrieval tools.

Key responsibilities

• Scale programmatic SEO by optimizing thousands of location‑ and specialty‑specific landing pages for ranking and conversion.
• Lead the GEO and AI‑retrieval strategy, defining how the platform is cited and surfaced by LLMs, answer engines, and Google AI overviews.
• Own the technical SEO infrastructure, including crawl‑budget management, indexation control, site architecture, rendering decisions (SSR, ISR, CSR), Core Web Vitals, and advanced schema.org implementation.
• Specify and partner with engineering to build automation and monitoring pipelines for audits, indexation alerts, schema validation, rank tracking, and regression detection.
• Translate organic strategy into precise engineering requirements, create clear Jira tickets, and collaborate with developers through implementation.
• Design and run SEO/GEO experiments, analyze results with statistical confidence, and decide which initiatives to scale or retire.

Required profile

• Hands‑on strategic thinker with experience driving large‑scale SEO programs.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to define KPIs and measure impact.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with marketing and engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills for translating strategy into technical specifications.
