Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join a fast‑growing technology team in Germany. You will own critical reliability domains, shape architecture, and drive operational excellence for a modern SaaS platform serving millions of frontline users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and continuously improve cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes environments for high availability and scalability.
• Define resilience strategies, including disaster recovery, zero‑downtime deployments, and global scaling.
• Enhance observability frameworks and monitoring systems to ensure platform reliability.
• Improve Infrastructure as Code and self‑service platform capabilities to reduce operational overhead.
• Lead major incident management, coordinate post‑mortems, and implement long‑term reliability improvements.
• Mentor engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to shape platform roadmaps and architectural standards.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline enhancements, GitOps practices, and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in SRE, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure.
• Proven track record building and operating high‑throughput, highly available production systems at scale.
• Strong programming skills in Go or Python for infrastructure tooling.
• Experience working in a remote‑first, collaborative environment.

• Kubernetes on major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK, Mimir
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Pulumi, OpenTofu
• GitOps frameworks: ArgoCD
• CI/CD pipelines and reliability engineering principles (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets)
