Senior Specialist External Reporting (m/f/d)

About the role

As a Senior Specialist External Reporting you will own the preparation and publication of BASF Agricultural Solutions' external financial reports, ensuring full compliance with IFRS and internal standards. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver transparent, high‑quality reporting for stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and publish annual and interim financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings.
• Maintain and enhance the disclosure tool, draft notes and disclosures, and align them with consolidated figures and accounting policies.
• Ensure consistent application of group accounting policies and IFRS interpretations across all external reporting outputs.
• Translate complex accounting topics into clear, compliant disclosures, especially for business combinations, impairments, provisions, and equity matters.
• Act as the primary contact for external auditors, coordinating audit requests and explaining reporting judgments.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects such as reorganisations, carve‑outs, and acquisitions, focusing on accounting and reporting implications.
• Collaborate with Consolidation, Accounting, Legal, Tax, Treasury, ESG, and Investor Relations to ensure consistent messaging.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in external reporting, audit or related areas, preferably within an IFRS environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, external financial reporting standards and audit processes.
