Senior Web Application Developer

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Senior Web Application Developer to join its Digital Operator Solutions team in Germany. You will shape cloud infrastructure and software platforms that support critical aerospace operations, driving the full lifecycle of high‑performance, microservices‑based web applications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development, testing, and deployment of scalable microservices‑based applications.
• Define and evolve IT architecture, ensuring solutions meet standards and are future‑proof.
• Apply ITIL best practices in incident, problem, change, and release management.
• Manage external software providers, guaranteeing quality and architectural compliance.
• Implement secure coding practices and enforce IT security policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in end‑to‑end web application development.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) and ITIL processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.
