Service & Planned Preventive Maintenance Technician – Security Systems

About the role

The Service & Planned Preventive Maintenance Technician is a customer‑facing engineering role responsible for maintaining and servicing electronic security systems within financial services office environments in Frankfurt. The role combines reactive fault‑finding, repair visits and scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Attend scheduled reactive service calls and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) visits, aiming to resolve issues on the first visit.
• Coordinate with the service coordinator and internal teams such as IT, Security, Health & Safety and Facilities.
• Provide remote or peer technical support when required.
• Support the Projects department with installations or minor commissioning during quieter periods.
• Maintain accurate service records and uphold company technical standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience servicing enterprise access control and CCTV/VMS systems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic networking fundamentals.
• Valid driving licence and the legal right to work in Germany.
• Manufacturer certifications for relevant security systems (essential); ECS, VCA, SafePass and IPAF are desirable.
