Service Technician – Main Components (Erfurt region)

About the role

As a Service Technician for main components, you will travel across Germany supporting Vestas wind turbines. You will join a flexible team of around seven technicians, ensuring large turbine components are maintained and repaired to keep renewable energy production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy to various sites in Germany to replace and repair main and large wind turbine components.
• Collaborate with external service providers, including crane operators and transport companies.
• Document all work digitally, creating clear technical reports.
• Work safely at heights and operate equipment such as telescopic mobile cranes.

Required profile

• Willingness to travel during the week and return home on weekends.
• Completed vocational training in electrical engineering, mechatronics or mechanical engineering.
• Ability to prepare and document technical reports independently.
• Comfortable working at heights and holding a valid Category B driving licence.
• Fluent German and good English communication skills.

Required skills

• Electrical engineering knowledge.
• Mechatronics or mechanical engineering background.
• Electrician qualification according to DIN VDE 0105‑100.
• Proficiency with Microsoft and iOS operating systems.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
