Setting Out Engineer – Data Centre Project

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a major new data centre infrastructure project in Berlin. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining site control across a fast‑track, mission‑critical construction environment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out all site setting‑out activities for civils, reinforced concrete sub‑structure, precast super‑structure, hard landscaping, and security installations.
• Establish and maintain benchmarks, survey records and site control using total stations, GPS/GNSS systems and automatic levels.
• Verify dimensions, levels and coordinates against design requirements and raise RFIs when necessary.
• Produce surveys, benchmarks and as‑built records, and ensure works follow the correct revisions and specifications.
• Monitor site quality, maintain QA documentation and photographic records.
• Support temporary works coordination and participate in daily coordination meetings and weekly QA reviews.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer or Site Engineer on large‑scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Hands‑on setting‑out experience across civils, reinforced concrete and structural works.
• Strong understanding of civil and reinforced concrete construction methodologies.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Strong QA/QC awareness and documentation experience.
• German language skills preferred but not essential; EU work eligibility preferred.
