Simulation and Optimization Engineer – International Engineering Programs

About the role

We are looking for a Simulation and Optimization Engineer to join Amazon’s International Engineering Programs team. The role will support the design, simulation and optimisation of new and existing Amazon facilities across Europe and other regions, with up to 50 % travel throughout EMEA.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run infrastructure and flow simulations to define yard and under‑the‑roof requirements.
• Provide data‑driven design inputs and recommendations for new building projects.
• Lead project‑team meetings, compile weekly metrics and align stakeholders on requirements.
• Identify and implement year‑on‑year cost‑saving and performance improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with site leads, operations managers, project managers and global simulation teams.
• Operate effectively in ambiguous environments and make decisions under pressure.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of yard and under‑the‑roof operations in large‑scale facilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build credibility with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Europe and other regions.
• Structured, confident and able to work autonomously.
