Site Manager – Construction Projects (Wind Energy)

About the role

Vestas Wind Systems is looking for a Site Manager to lead the execution of wind turbine construction projects across Northern & Central Europe. You will be responsible for organising on‑site activities with a strong focus on safety, quality, budget, and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and manage all site activities to meet project scope, budget, timeline and quality targets.
• Coordinate subcontractors and site personnel, ensuring all permits, authorisations and contract requirements are fulfilled.
• Implement Vestas HSE and Quality Control standards and ensure full compliance with safety, quality and legal regulations.
• Prepare the construction site before work begins, including inductions, toolbox talks and documentation setup.
• Maintain communication with clients, suppliers and the project manager, providing regular progress updates.
• Monitor daily construction progress, identify risks or issues and implement corrective actions.
• Manage site documentation, progress reports, quality records, NCRs and as‑built documentation.
• Oversee deliveries, logistics and scheduling to ensure materials and equipment arrive on time.
• Review contracts, technical documents and project plans to ensure alignment with execution.
• Promote a positive, safe and compliant work environment and drive continuous improvement on site.

Required profile

• Formal qualification in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (advantageous).
• Experience in the construction industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
• Understanding of the full construction process, process safety standards and local legislation.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and German.
