Site Manager – Gigafactory Berlin

About the role

As a Site Manager at the Gigafactory Berlin, you will lead on‑site construction activities for one of Europe’s most ambitious industrial projects. You will ensure that work progresses safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards while collaborating with a diverse set of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and direct construction activities on‑site, aligning them with project timelines and objectives.
• Ensure works are executed according to designs, specifications, and approved changes.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and cross‑functional teams to maintain smooth project flow.
• Implement and monitor Tesla processes such as work requests and access protocols, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Enforce EHS regulations, conduct routine safety checks, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain compliance with quality standards through inspections and corrective actions.
• Track and report construction progress against the project schedule.
• Identify, assess, and resolve risks that could impact schedule or contractual scope.
• Maintain detailed documentation, including commercial records related to costs and scope.
• Review contractor documentation (as‑builts, datasheets, quality certificates, submittals) for accuracy and timely submission.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• Proven experience in industrial construction projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; German is a plus.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Azure, and standard Office software.
• Willingness to spend a high percentage of time in the field and perform hands‑on tasks.
• Ability to work in a high‑performance, cross‑functional environment with tight timelines.
• Flexibility to cover night‑shifts and weekend shifts.
• Demonstrated site‑management experience, including EHS processes and construction techniques.
• Strong ability to read, analyse, and interpret design documents.
• Deep understanding of general health and safety rules applied on construction sites.
