Site Manager – Wind Turbine Projects

About the role

You will lead the on‑site management of wind turbine construction projects from delivery through commissioning. Working closely with project management and a range of internal and external partners, you will ensure safe, high‑quality, and on‑schedule execution.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the construction site, guaranteeing safety, timeliness and quality from delivery to commissioning.
• Support the Project Manager in planning, site setup, scheduling, cost control and reporting.
• Coordinate civil and electrical works, manage resources, and ensure availability of tools, equipment and materials.
• Act as the primary on‑site contact for customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Lead subcontractors, service providers, installation teams, crane operators and transport companies, providing clear instructions and overseeing workflows.
• Maintain strict compliance with safety, environmental and technical requirements, including risk management and documentation.

Required profile

• Technical vocational training or a technician/master craftsman qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Several years of experience in construction site management, preferably in wind energy or comparable large‑scale technical projects.
• Fluent English (minimum B2) and basic German (minimum B1).
• Structured, assertive and solution‑oriented working style with high responsibility and strong teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel mainly within Germany and occasionally to neighboring countries, and to work multi‑week assignments on construction sites, including regular Saturday work.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS Office.
• Experience with MS Project.
