Site Manager – Wind Turbine Projects

About the role

As a Site Manager for wind turbine projects, you will lead the on‑site execution of wind farm construction from delivery through commissioning. You will work closely with project managers, customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure safe, high‑quality and on‑schedule delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the construction site, guaranteeing safety, timeliness and quality from delivery to commissioning.
• Support the Project Manager in planning, site set‑up, scheduling, cost control and reporting.
• Coordinate and supervise civil and electrical works, manage resources, tools, equipment and material availability.
• Serve as the primary on‑site contact for customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Lead subcontractors, service providers, installation crews, crane operators and transport companies, ensuring clear instructions and smooth workflows.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental and technical requirements, including risk management and documentation.

Required profile

• Technical qualification as a technician or master craftsman in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent vocational training.
• Several years of experience in construction site management, preferably in wind energy or large‑scale technical projects.
• Fluent English (minimum B2) and basic German (B1).
• Structured, assertive and solution‑oriented working style with high responsibility and strong teamwork.
• Willingness to travel within Germany and occasionally to neighboring countries, and to work multi‑week assignments and occasional Saturdays.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS Office.
• Experience with MS Project (preferred).
