Site Manager Wind Turbine Projects (m/f/d)

About the role

You will be responsible for the on‑site management of wind turbine construction projects from delivery through commissioning. Working closely with project management and various stakeholders, you will ensure safe, high‑quality, and on‑schedule execution of each site.

Key responsibilities

• Take full on‑site responsibility for construction, ensuring safety, timeliness, and quality from delivery to commissioning.
• Support the Project Manager in planning, site setup, execution, scheduling, cost control, and reporting.
• Coordinate and supervise civil and electrical works, manage resources, and ensure availability of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Act as the primary on‑site contact for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead subcontractors, service providers, installation teams, crane operators, and transport companies, providing clear instructions and ensuring smooth workflows.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and technical requirements, including risk management and proper documentation.

Required profile

• Technician or master craftsman qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering, a technical vocational training, or an equivalent qualification.
• Several years of experience in construction site management, preferably in wind energy or comparable large‑scale technical projects.
• Fluent English (minimum B2) and basic German (minimum B1).
• Willingness to travel mainly within Germany and occasionally to neighboring countries, and to undertake multi‑week assignments on construction sites, including regular Saturday work.
• Structured, assertive, solution‑oriented working style with high responsibility and strong teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Confident use of MS Office.
• Experience with MS Project (preferred).
• English language proficiency (B2 level).
• German language proficiency (B1 level).
