Software Developer – Mission Support Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Software Developer to join the Mission Support Systems team at Airbus Defence and Space. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining mission‑critical software that enables planning and execution for a range of flying platforms such as Eurofighter, A400M, Eurodrone, Tornado and future concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy robust, scalable software components for mission support applications.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, DevOps, and operational advisors to define requirements and specifications.
• Implement code following architectural guidelines and coding standards.
• Conduct unit, integration and system testing to ensure high quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve software issues, and contribute to preventive measures.
• Participate in code reviews and continuously improve development processes.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of designs, implementations and test results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in software development, preferably in defence or aerospace environments.
