Software Development Engineer, AWS Security

About the role

Join Amazon's Security team to design and build services that protect the AWS cloud from advanced cyber threats. You will collaborate with security engineers, data scientists, and fellow developers to create automated detection and mitigation solutions at massive scale.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and operate security detection services using AWS technologies such as Lambda, Kinesis, and DynamoDB.
• Design low‑latency, high‑throughput architectures for big‑data processing.
• Improve observability, performance, and efficiency of existing systems.
• Own operational excellence, including monitoring, alarms, and on‑call support for European Sovereign Cloud.
• Mentor teammates and champion best practices in testing, automation, and reliability.

Required profile

• Effective collaborator who thrives in diverse, inclusive teams.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call rotation (one week every two months).
