Software Development Engineer – Community Feedback

About the role

Join Amazon's Community Feedback team in Berlin and help shape the product reviews and Q&A experience used by millions of customers worldwide. You will design and implement cloud‑based services, workflow architecture, and machine‑learning systems that power these critical customer‑facing features.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the full agile software development lifecycle, from design to production.
• Own end‑to‑end solutions across cloud services, workflow components, and ML pipelines.
• Develop high‑quality, testable code for product review and Q&A features.
• Maintain engineering standards through code reviews and documentation.
• Operate and monitor systems with a focus on availability, performance, and operational excellence.
• Identify and implement opportunities to simplify, automate, or improve existing systems.

Required profile

• Team‑oriented engineer with experience building sophisticated, customer‑facing applications.
• Strong sense of ownership, bias for action, agility, and creativity.
• Commitment to operational excellence and solving complex problems at scale.

Required skills

• Professional software development experience (non‑internship).
• Design or architecture experience for new and existing systems.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
